ZirChrom Separations Inc. Launches New Class of Chiral Chromatography Products

November 2005 - A new class of chiral stationary phases (CSPs) for analytical and preparative-scale high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), ZirChrom®-Chiral, were introduced by ZirChrom Separations, Inc. at the Eastern Analytical Symposium 2005 Trade Show in Somerset, NJ. These new patent-pending CSPs incorporate the unsurpassed chemical and mechanical stability of zirconia with the flexibility of Lewis acid/base anchored chiral selectors. The new ZirChrom®-Chiral CSPs were developed as part of an ongoing, two-year Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) research project funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institute of Health. The goal of this SBIR project is to develop a rapid screening technique for the evaluation of chiral selectors anchored to a zirconia particle. PRESS RELEASE (Adobe Acrobat Reader required)

ZirChrom Separations Inc. To Develop New Class of Chiral Chromatography Products

February 2005 - ZirChrom Separations, Inc. announced a project to develop a new class of chiral stationary phases (CSPs) for analytical and preparative-scale high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The new class of CSPs is based on the modification of zirconia through the use of Lewis base anchors. The project is funded through a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant totaling over $700,000 from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institute of Health (NIH). ZirChrom Separations Inc. and Sachtleben Chemie GmbH Launch New Reversed-Phase Analytical and Preparative Chromatography Columns

June 2004 - ZirChrom Separations, Inc. and Sachtleben Chemie GmbH announced their cooperation in the packing, marketing and sales of titania-based HPLC columns. These next generation columns are offered in both analytical and preparative formats, containing a wide selection of particle (3, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 micron) and pore (60, 100, 300, and 1000 angstrom) sizes. Sachtleben brings a long-standing tradition of excellence to the chromatography market as well as the capability to produce large quantities of particles very reproducibly. Sachtopore-RP, the newest titania-based reversed-phase, was introduced at the PREP 2004 (Preparative / Process Chromatography) trade show in Baltimore, MD. A normal phase titania packing is also available. These new titania-based columns offer the chromatographer a very rugged alternative to silica for both analytical and preparative-scale separations.  PRESS RELEASE (Adobe Acrobat Reader required)
